I'm an artist based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I live on the Old West Side with my husband and two daughters. I gather inspiration from farms, dunes, woods, and Lake Michigan in Leelanau County where I grew up, and the industrial-agricultural landscape of Southeast Michigan. I paint primarily in oils and watercolors on a variety of surface materials. My woodblocks utilize the grain and other individual characteristics to illustrate land, water, and sky. I also experiment with sculpture made from woodcarvings, fabric, and found materials.
